Van Booth, retired U.S. Army staff sergeant tells about his 20 years in the Army

Van Booth, a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant has lots of stories in this video about his time in Desert Storm and coping with life after his 20 years in the military. Van learned to cope after walking across America – Walking for Life. The veteran started his walk in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Walking for Life is meant to raise awareness of Operation Song, an organization that helps veterans through the use of song. Walking for Life was an opportunity to heighten awareness for Soldiers, civilians, families and the community about suicide threat factors, about the resources available and about building resiliency across the force.
