In this heartfelt interview conducted at the Warrior Exhibit in Fayetteville, Tennessee, we honor the life and legacy of Lance Corporal Robert Dale Armstrong, a Vietnam veteran who was tragically killed in action on January 16, 1969, alongside his loyal dog. Dale’s family members, including Gloria Armstrong, Sissy West, Gail Howell, Dorthy Taylor, and Doug Armstrong, share touching stories and memories of his life, illustrating the profound impact he had on those who knew him. Although his sisters Janet Teal and Pam Hittson were unable to attend the interview, their love and memories of Dale are deeply felt throughout the conversation.
